ONLINE RESOURCES
If you search for "Gustav Basser", using the Google search engine, (7-27-04), you will find about 8 links. Only five are relevant and they are written in German. However, machine-translations are available from the entry on the Google page.

Alte Adler e.V
This page, in German, describes the "Old Eagle" organization and while not mentioning Basser in the text, does offer a beautiful picture of him, a copy of which I have used to head this page. You can access the page, in German, by clicking on the title above.

WW I DIgest 1642
On this page is reproduced an article by Joey Valenciano which discusses the development of airlines in Germany right after WW I. The primary focus is Udet's activities, but it does mention Gustav Basser, who is identified as one of the pilots for Edmund Rumpler, in two places. You can access the page by clicking on the title above.

AERO-CLUB ZWICKAU
This page, in German, tells the story of the Aero Club in Zwickau and does offer a brief mention of Gustav Basser. Even with the help of the machine translation, I can only guess that it refers to the destruction of the "Gustav Besser" factory by bombs during WW II. You can access the page by clicking on the title above.
