Collection of Marco Bazzan, 1-31-06 Explanation courtesy of Domenico Marini, 2-6-06 Arduino was the engineer responsible for the left motor of the dirigible. He died, not because of the crash, but because after touching the pack, the dirigible lost the weight of his shuttle and the frame was lifted into the air with some members of the crew, including Arduino. Their remains were never found. |
If you compare the small picture of the Marchal Ettore Arduino, you will recognize him just in the center of the big photograph with the family group. Collection of Marco Bazzan, 1-31-06 Identification & Image Manipulation Courtesy of Domenico Marini, 2-6-06 |
