BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
via email from John Soulsby, 11-10-06
Dear Ralph
Montague Francis Glew's elder brother Aubrey Edmund Glew (b. 1891) was in the Lincolnshire Yeomanry in 1914/15 when he transferred to the RFC getting his wings in May 1916. He was 2/Lt. with 24 Sqdn. RFC from 12 july 1916 until his death 8 Sept 1916. He was on his way over the German lines when his engine burst, he got down to 500 ft then lost control and was killed. He had shot down 4 German planes.
Kind regards John
