"Ferdinand Zele began studying airplanes at the age of eleven, built a monoplane in his leisure hours
at the age of 19, invented an aerial machine gun in his early twenties and was nationally known as a daredevil pilot by the time he was
killed when struck by another plane while performing a flight tailspin at the Marine Flying Field in Miami Florida, on February 15, 1919, at
the age of 25. He was listed in the Liberty magazine of May 11, 1935, among the early daredevils of adventure in the sky." |
